There are some last-minute checks YOU MUST make before sending off for the big event.

#1 Optimize your listings.

You are not the only seller participating in the Prime Day sale. Millions of retailers are competing for the same audience as you, trying to make their listings appear on top of the search results, hoping to gain better CTR(Click-through Rates) and higher traffic.

You need to make sure your listings win in your niche, at least!

Chances are, you have already taken care of this part by now. However, rechecking wouldn’t hurt.

Look for opportunities to improve. Try tweaking the title, or change the description by adding a new detail, or check and see if your listing is missing out on any of the latest and relevant keywords.

As a precautionary measure, run a quick audit of your listings and check to see if all your product images comply with Amazon’s rules. They should be of high quality, adhering to SEO, and posted with the right tags. You must also include your targeted keywords in the alt tags to further increase your chances of higher rankings.

#4 Revisit your pricing & offers

The best way to beat your competitors is to offer better deals. And Amazon Prime Day is all about deals. Prime exclusive deals can be found on the Deals page of Seller central account and can be scheduled/edited till the Prime Day. Both Individual and Bulk discount methods through Excel are available in seller central.

This deal incentivizes the Buyer for becoming a Prime buyer with higher discounts and the seller by providing the ‘Prime Day’ Badge to their ASINs.  Though the Badge is not ensured as the promotion is dynamic and rules keep changing every year,  it does help in getting additional Sales normally.

#8  Requesting Customer reviews

High number of customer reviews on the products along with good visibility and Sales rank adds up a great deal to the Prime Day Sales. Hence, it’s important to request all the non-returned orders for a product review. Even without any additional Prime Day specific deals, a product which has good reviews and inventory in FBA is expected to witness a surge in Sales

#9  Clubbing Low Product reviews ASINs into a High performing Parent family

All the reviews for a child ASIN on Amazon are aggregated at the Parent level, hence it’s important to parent the ASINs well. This also gives an overall Halo effect to the low performing child ASINs and help them get better Sales on the Prime Day.

#10  Account Health : Working on Negative Feedbacks

The negative seller feedbacks which falls in one of the 3 conditions are liable to be struck off. The conditions are –

a) The seller feedback being a product review

b) Related to Fulfillment experience for an FBA order

c) Use of objectionable words in the seller feedback

A better account health and a seller feedback reinforces the seller trust and helps in better Sales conversion, especially for the High ASP products.
